Cards for the Day: R’d Sun/R’d 3 of Wands: Staying Cool in the Shade Doesn’t Mean We Have to Totally Block Out the Sun

The Sun reversed--Rider-Waite tarotThree of Wands reversed--Rider-Waite tarotYesterday’s post was about rain, and today it is about the Sun, which is so bright that we are looking away from it. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t there. It seems as though the Sun is so bright today that we are hiding from it in the shadows, giving more control to our unconscious/subconscious minds, and less to our conscious frontal lobes. That’s not a bad thing. Some of us prefer shade, and peace and quiet — the yin side of life — and some of us are depressed or anxious and simply aren’t in the sunny mood that others would like us to be in. We might prefer to take some time to explore the subconscious. Just be careful not to let staying in the shade today affect your vision and goals for the future (Three of Wands reversed). Even when we hang out in the shade, where it’s cool and peaceful, we can still look out into the light and use that light as a tool to help guide our futures.

  1. what happens if you ask when will i hear from him and you receive
the sun and 3 of wands upright? does that mean i wear hear from him from 3 – 3 weeks?

    1. Well, it depends. I don’t totally trust the cards to give an exact date! Because I think human time and spirit time are not always in sync. However, if I did interpret it to mean a particular time frame, I guess I would think three days (three sunrises). Or, on the other hand, three years (the time it takes the Earth to go around the sun). Yes, there’s a big difference between those two possibilities! Though I am inclined to lean toward three days versus three years, because the Three of Wands person could be watching for the sunrise/sunset. So maybe over the weekend? More importantly, though, what I see in those two cards is you looking forward (Three of Wands) to hearing from him with happiness (the Sun), and those cards seem very positive on that point. It doesn’t sound like you will be disappointed. Good luck! 🙂
