We may want to be independent. We may think we are independent. Financially or in our opinions. But we aren’t. It’s a pretense that we may not admit even to ourselves. Denial runs deep.
And we’re not as shrewd as we think we are, either. That’s even harder to admit, for most of us.
We are shaped by our lives, by our histories, by our cultures, by our circumstances. Things go full circle. We may think we are pedaling the wheels on this bicycle, but are we really?
