Do It Yourself Tarot: Election Nonpredictions

Four of Swords

Okay. Against my better judgement, I pulled cards for the U.S. presidential election. But I refuse to interpret them! Please feel free to do the interpretation yourself, in the comments. I’m a bit troubled by these cards, but here they are. One last caveat: I pulled these at 7:30 a.m. CST. They are NOT predictions; these are just how things look based on these cards at this particular time on a day that I suspect is likely to be full of dramatic ups and downs. So if you don’t like these cards (I don’t), then GO out and change the outcome yourself by voting (if you’re in the U.S. and can do so). If I have time, for balance, I’ll pull again after the polls are closed here in Wisconsin.

Overall outcome: Four of SwordsFour of Swords

Outcome for Barack Obama: Five of CupsFive of Cups

Outcome for Mitt Romney: Nine of CupsNine of Cups

Outcome for Jill Stein: Death (I’m not interpreting, but just remember that Death typically symbolizes big changes, not actual physical death–though political death is a possibility.)Death

Outcome for Ron Paul: The Moon reversedThe Moon reversed

Outcome for the people of the U.S.: Ten of PentaclesTen of Pentacles

Outcome for the world: Five of Swords reversedFive of Swords reversed

    1. I will pull cards in the same categories after 8 pm CST (when the polls close in Wisconsin, where I live), just for fun, and we’ll see if the energy has shifted…
