“Everything happens for a reason.” The Law of Attraction. “Seek and ye shall find.” “Thy will be done.” Or, from Mark chapter 5, “your faith has restored you to health; go in peace….Do not be afraid; only have faith.” And from Mark chapter 10: “Go, your faith has saved you.” (Translations are from the Jerusalem Bible.)
Something is swirling around in my head lately, and what it is, is faith.
Thinking of this, I pulled four cards from Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the House of Night deck today: Understanding, Obedience, Choices, and, in response to Choices, Risk.

To me these cards are a call, to act in accordance with our understanding (in obedience to what we know about the universe, about spirit and about our own spirits). To make choices based on this knowledge, choices that are in accordance with this understanding. Yes, those choices will bring us risk. But the understanding which guides us to make those choices is a true understanding; it’s not mistaken. It’s faith.
I’m an avid proponent of faith myself. Not to mention a big fan of the images on these cards as well. Stunning.
