Drawing for the sixth through eighth days of Epiphany all at once (I took New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day off), I pulled the Two of Pentacles, the King of Swords, and the King of Cups, from the Darkana Tarot.
Maybe I am overly obsessed with politics, but that seems like a king of war, and a king of peace–alternating in public opinion.
Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders, in a race for the presidency? Though I could see Hillary as a King of Cups more easily than I can see here as a queen. The King of Cups, especially in the Darkana, seems like a diplomat, to me. And Donald Trump seems more like a reversed King of Swords than an upright one–I just don’t see him as a purveyor of truth and justice.
The Two of Pentacles seems very accurate, though, when applied to politics. In the Darkana, this card has the words “juggling” and “stagnation” printed at the bottom of it. In other words, politics as usual. Sigh.
