If you’re having a hard time being fully present in your body today, I don’t think that you’re alone. Today seems to be a day for being lost in thought, daydreams, out of touch with reality — maybe trying on a change of perspective. These cards seem like a male and a female version of the wandering spirit.
What interests me here are two issues. One is that it’s not bad to let one’s spirit wander at times. Sometimes the spirit wanders to protect the self from negative experiences (as when a person experiencing trauma dissociates), and sometimes the spirit wanders to help the self to find wisdom (sometimes dreams are a product of this). For a shaman, the wandering spirit is a tool to accomplish various spiritual ends. But this is a topic I know very little about.
On the other hand, though, for many of us the spirit tends to just wander off at will. We can find ourselves lost in thought or daydreams in the blink of an eye. (And yes, I mean me! I have a strong tendency to do this.) We need tools for calling the spirit home again.
The best tool I know of, for this purpose, is meditation. But I think there are other strategies or targeted meditation strategies that we could make use of — definitely something to research and blog about another day! If you have strategies for bringing yourself back into yourself, please share them in the comments section.
i have to say this has been so me and my husband today. thank you for the insight. have you done anything in the past on how to help with meditation? everytime i try to meditate i go to sleep and that is that, lol

This happens to me a lot too, lol. I’m not sure what the answer is! Maybe a guided visualization or counting your breaths will help, if you don’t already do this.
