Note: I had some technical problems with the site over the weekend, so I drew cards but was not able to post them! I am posting the cards now, in case anyone wants to compare them with how their weekends went, although I am still having trouble getting WordPress to put the cards where I want them to go!
From the Samurai Tarot, I pulled The Emperor and the Queen of Pentacles, both reversed. What was this calculating couple discussing? Justice reversed (which you may recall came up on Friday as well). Looking for further background, I pulled the reversed Five of Wands.
Here’s what I think about these cards: in some ways, during this Mercury retrograde, we may find ourselves letting ghosts and obsessiveness about the past hamper our ability to take control and move forward. It’s as if our old ghosts were rising up to mess with us again. They’re giving us nightmares, in some cases. As a result we are not doing justice to our own inner divinity (in the Samurai Tarot, Justice is connected with inner divinity).
Advice? Somehow, Mercury retrograde or no Mercury retrograde, we have to rise above all this. We need to release the past, but we also need the past to release us. This is what it will take for us to become truly autonomous and to feel as though we have some measure of control in our own worlds.
