This will sound so clichéd. But the best solution for a rough, negative day is meditation, preferably in nature. Honestly, what else can you do but meditate when a day is rough? All the other options I can think of involve trying to distract yourself from those feelings. But distracting yourself from your feelings is really just another way of bottling them up to save them so you can turn them into a health condition later, or explode later, or otherwise have to deal with them later. Just forget the boredom/distraction options and deal with the negativity now. Negativity doesn’t get better with age.
Rather than bottling those feelings, try composting them by releasing them into the earth. That will transform them into something better. I promise. And so does Toni Carmine Salerno’s rainbow (see right).
From a wise Facebook fan, an important caveat to this post: ” Hey Bonnie .. I’m a life-long spiritual seeker, and in my wanderings, I took a beginner Shamanic weekend workshop with a lady here in Denver that was a student of Sandra Ingerman (shaman par excellence). Sandra has been in practice for decades, and now focuses on how best to help Mother Earth. According to her, Mother Earth is tired of receiving so much negativity (I get that), so when releasing the negativity, intend on it transmuting to healing energy (my personal addition: that celebrates life and benefits all). Mother Earth would appreciate this extra step. Thank you for all your beautiful effort. :o)”
