True Love = Recognizing Kinship at a Deep, Soul Level

Past Life--Universal Wisdom deckMeditation--Universal Wisdom deckFor Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be nice to draw from the Universal Wisdom deck, asking the question, what do we need to know about forming more loving relationships? I thought I would pull Acceptance or Compassion. Instead, I pulled Past Life and Meditation. VERY interesting!

What is true love all about? What happens when you find your soul mate? I’m not against sex. (I’m a Scorpio, for goodness’ sake!) But true love is not about sex or romance. It’s about coming together again and again from one life to the next because you have formed a sacred connection — a connection that is spiritual and meditative in nature. There is such a thing as love at first sight, but it’s not about how you look: it’s about recognizing kinship at a deep soul level. This is such a simple piece of wisdom, but many of us don’t realize it. If you are looking for your soul mate, take time to settle into meditation and find the deepest part of yourself first. You have to go deep to find the part of you that knows how to recognize soul characteristics. That’s my best advice to you, on Valentine’s Day.

  1. All of the good things that we look for in a relationship, by the way (in my opinion), stem from this deep soul connection. Acceptance, tolerance, compassion, forgiveness…all flow from it, and with this connection you can weather almost any storm. Without it, your relationship ends up snapping like a dry twig over stupid stuff.
